Animal friendship

My newest mission is taming a crow and having it become my dear friend. By 'taming' I mean having it tolerate me and follow me around. It is surprisingly easy to do this, you mainly just have to feed it at a regular time daily and its own intelligence will do the rest. I used to think that all birds migrated in the wintertime, but crows stick around here. They are pretty robust. And they eat just about anything. I will keep this place posted on my progress. I'd also like to have a raven friend, but they are more neophobic than crows, and they are more solitary (crows travel with their family and extended family (sometimes up to five generations together), while ravens remain with one partner for life). They also prefer rural areas to cities.

As for the other stuff on this site, look out for some activity particularly in the math and radio pages. Nothing rigorous, though. Not at all.

The above pictured is a fish crow, and I'll probably only tame American crows from what I've noticed nearby. I'm no experienced birder, though, and the main way to tell fish crows and American crows apart seems to be by their calls (the call of a fish crow is more nasally) so I could have misidentified the ones I've seen. My ultimate goal is to have a flock that does my bidding. This will occur.
